Heritage Week Event in Doneraile Park

Dermot Casey Tree Care hosted a guided walk & talk in Doneraile Park on the 28^th August last as part of Heritage Week (22^nd to 30^th August).  

The event was a great success with participants from local areas and also as far away as Kinsale, Wexford and Dublin joining in. 

The walk & talk was led by Arborist, Bill Blyth from Dermot Casey Tree Care who shared his expertise on native trees that can be found in Doneraile Park such as Yew, Hawthorn, Ash and many more.

Each participant in the event also took home a history guide of Doneraile Park, trivia and a guide to our Native Trees which was kindly provided by the National Tree Care Council of Ireland.

Children had the opportunity to take part in various activities and took home with them bark rubbings they made on the day, pencils, posters & colouring sheets.
